I represented a sweet 19 year old nurse assistant injured at work at a Spartanburg nursing home. She dislocated her shoulder moving a patient. Not a severe injury, but one to be taken seriously. The workers’ compensation insurance company didn’t – it refused to pay the required temporary disability payments while our client couldn’t work. Worse, the insurance company failed to provide for her medical care. Once the insurance company provided proper medical care, our client treated faithfully and bounced back fast, returning to work quicker than expected. While it wasn’t a huge money case, it was still a big case for us to help a young girl get what she deserved legally – which the insurance company made plain she wouldn’t get, until we got involved.
